TSEBO Financial Literacy Institute (TFLI) is founded by Ms. Libuseng Titi in the Kingdom of Lesotho. The main purpose of the institute is to make the Basotho Nation aware of their financial challenges and equip them with necessary skills to effectively manage personal/business finances. This comes after realizing the financial difficulties resulting mainly due to global financial illiteracy epidemic also affecting the Basotho Nation calling for immediate attention by all, including regulators, financiers, employers, business owners and employees.
TFLI has identified that the difficulty is associated with lack of understanding by most of Basotho regarding purposes and need for loans, roles played by the borrowers after securing loans, actions to be undertaken when troubled whilst still indebted and repercussions of failure to oblige after securing loan facilities. The training is targeted at employers and employees in all industries, banks, insurance houses, brokers and lenders who present opportunities to their clients. TFLI was then founded to educate and liberate Basotho.
To be a training institute that will equip all Basotho with financial literacy skills that will enable the opportunity to achieve and maintain financial stability, security, and freedom throughout life, while they pass on their values, knowledge and assets to future generations to make their lives and this world a better place.
To embark on a Nation-wide training to be offered in our home language (Sesotho) where Basotho will be skilled to efficiently manage their finances, combined with facilities that will equip them with skills to seize opportunities in loan facilities. To be an exemplary training institute that is going to leave footsteps for all its clients to follow and walk upon during the journey of being financially literate individuals with finance management skills to pass on their future generation to make Lesotho a better country for all.
We are offering training to the nation of Lesotho on how to better manage their finances and to benefit from the credit facilities offered by existing financial service providers within the country.
This training is going to be offered to employees, self-employed, insurance brokers as well as micro lenders/bank officials who present opportunities to their clients; so that they offer them the best service and products that will help grow them.
The training is not only offered to clients of financial service providers, but it is also going to be offered to the financial service providers themselves so that they learn or practice and enforce a better “Know Your Client” motto in the interests of their clients as well.
